Infrastructure Engineer Cloud & Security

Overview

As an Infrastructure Engineer Cloud & Security, you will shape stable and modern system landscapes and expand your expertise in virtualization and Microsoft environments. In diverse projects, you will manage technical implementations, take responsibility for quality, and contribute to continuous improvement. Technologically, you will work with virtualization and server platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix, as well as with Microsoft server and collaboration solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT solution concepts for internal processes and customer environments
• Install, configure, and manage server and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix
• Plan, accompany, and document projects including tests and acceptance processes
• Support users and colleagues in 2nd/3rd level support, both remotely and on-site
• Operate and optimize network and security components including firewalls, Sophos solutions, and MDM
• Maintain deployments and software distribution as well as backup and storage solutions

Your Profile

• Possess an IT education or a comparable qualification and practical experience in system administration
• Have knowledge of Microsoft server environments, Active Directory, and collaboration tools
• Possess knowledge of virtualization and hypervisor platforms as well as network and security components
• Show willingness for continuous development and independent problem-solving
• Enjoy working in a team and communicate competently with internal interfaces and external service providers
• Have a service-oriented work approach and documentation discipline
