Infrastructure Engineer Virtualisierung und Security (m/w/d)

Your Tasks

• Develop and implement IT solution concepts for infrastructure and virtualization environments.
• Install and configure server and client systems on-site and via remote access.
• Manage virtualization and security platforms such as VMware, Citrix, or Hyper-V, as well as firewall and UTM solutions.
• Document project progress, create status reports, and maintain operational documentation.
• Support in second-level support and assist with problem analysis for users.
• Coordinate external service providers and test system functions as part of introduction tests.
• Participate in cross-departmental improvement initiatives to optimize processes.

Your Profile

• Possess a completed IT education or comparable practical experience in the infrastructure sector.
• Bring initial practical experience with virtualization and infrastructure platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar solutions.
• Have basic knowledge of directory and collaboration systems such as Active Directory, Exchange, or Office 365.
• Be familiar with network and storage fundamentals, as well as basic knowledge of firewall and endpoint protection systems.
• Work independently, solution-oriented, and enjoy communicating in a team and with customers.
• Show willingness to learn and interest in continuous professional development.
