What You Would Work On
This is a very broad role with two distinct sides. The primary part is building and scaling our in-house software; the secondary part is supporting our DevOps engineer on deep infrastructure topics.
Primary β Our In-House All-In-One Enterprise Platform (~70%)
- Take ownership of our in-house enterprise platform β a single product unifying what most companies stitch together from 10 SaaS tools: shared files, chat, git, email, and the connectors that tie them to every other service we use
- The MVP exists and is already used internally. Your mission is to turn it into a real product: scale it, harden it, ship new modules, and make it the tool the whole company depends on without thinking about it
- Design and build the connectors between the platform and the rest of our stack (robotics tooling, CI, logging, simulation, HR, etc.) so information flows in one place rather than being scattered across accounts
- Own the full stack: data model, backend services (Node.js/TypeScript), React frontend, deployment, observability, and the product decisions in between
- Lead technically on this surface β this is your product
Secondary β Deep Infrastructure & DevOps Support (~30%)
- Support our DevOps engineer on the most complex infrastructure topics: our custom build system, the toolchains used across teams for visualization, logging, and simulation
- Contribute to managing our fleet of servers β CI runners, GPU simulation servers, machine learning servers β as a coherent, unified infrastructure rather than a pile of boxes
- Step into DevOps topics where an extra pair of staff-level hands makes the difference, while leaving day-to-day DevOps ownership with our existing engineer
This position is broad, senior, and demanding on purpose. You will context-switch across the platform, the build system, and the server fleet β and you will leverage LLMs aggressively to keep all of it moving forward in parallel. The role is the backbone of how every other engineer at Nio gets work done. Done well, you multiply the entire company's output.
