Senior Software Engineer Embedded Systems

Focus: System architecture, distributed systems Tech-Stack: C/C++, Bash, Yocto, Zephyr, STM32, AM62P

Profile – Real Experience:

• You have successfully led systems from scratch through complex refactoring phases. We are looking for someone who knows what happens when theory meets reality.
• Embedded Linux & MCU: You understand Linux as an operating system. You don't need to be a full-time Yocto maintainer, but you understand the mechanisms (layers, recipes, kernel/userspace) to define guidelines.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (ideally Zephyr) is a major asset.
• C/C++ & Scripts: You master C/C++ and use scripts as a Swiss Army knife for automating your workflows.
• Languages: German and English are essential. French is a great advantage.

Tasks:

• The System: You design complex and distributed systems in the premium industrial segment. You transform our existing architecture into a modern, distributed system.
• You are the conductor between Embedded Linux (MPU) and real-time nodes (MCU). If you know that a system is only as stable as its weakest link and terms like "determinism" and "test-driven" are part of your vocabulary, then you are in the right place.
• You design the technological foundation for our next generation of machines, where the operating system (Yocto) communicates seamlessly with STM32 targets (Zephyr).
• Distributed Intelligence: You define communication protocols for the internal intelligence of the machine.
• CI/CD & Tooling: You build the bridge between development and deployment.
• Security by Design: You implement security concepts (CRA compliance) that cover the entire lifecycle, from the development link to the final device.
