About
As a Product Application Engineer, you will be the technical link between the Sales, Product Management, Engineering teams and our Danfoss Hansen customers. You will be responsible for the Hansen product family from an application perspective, removing technical obstacles hindering sales and transforming field feedback into actionable information to guide the product roadmap.

Responsibilities
- Be the reference Hansen expert for sales teams, distribution partners, and end-users — provide pre- and post-sales support, advise on product selection, resolve system-level issues, and assist with commissioning
- Develop new business opportunities by proposing smarter, more energy-efficient solutions, thereby strengthening Hansen product sales
- Meet with customers on-site to analyze their application needs, identify solutions or product gaps, and respond quickly to technical questions
- Translate customer needs into existing Hansen product configurations or collaborate with engineering on custom designs; develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), cost estimates, and competitive quotes
- Design and present customer materials that clearly highlight Danfoss solutions and support business development efforts
- Identify customer pain points, competitive intelligence, and differentiating strengths to feed Product Management, support ECR/EOL processes, and guide the next generation of Hansen products
Experience & Skills
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with quick couplings or hydraulic applications
- Ability to independently manage design tasks, commissioning activities, and product selection
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders and presenting clear, value-oriented solutions
- Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis skills, with a pragmatic mindset and a good understanding of the overall system context
- Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings; CAD experience required (PRO-E appreciated)
- Fluent English (oral and written) and availability to travel internationally (5–10%)
