About Our Client

Our client is a major player in raw material transformation in North America. The company operates one of the largest processing facilities and distinguishes itself through the rigor of its operations, its technical expertise, and its commitment to the highest standards in health, safety, and operational performance.

In a context of growth and continuous improvement, the organization is undertaking a significant technological shift aimed at modernizing its operational technology infrastructure. The plant operates in a complex industrial environment, including over 250 motor drives, a significant fleet of 100 industrial controllers, and several structuring projects, such as the replacement of approximately 20 motor control centers (MCCs) and the migration and upgrade of DCS systems.

Role Overview

To support this transformation, the organization wishes to recruit a Project Manager – Operational Technologies (OT). This role will play a strategic part in the evolution of technologies supporting industrial operations. As an operational technology architect, you will be responsible for structuring and evolving the plant's technological architecture while actively contributing to modernization projects and the reliability of critical production systems.

Key Challenges

The position holder will play a key role in modernizing the technological infrastructures supporting industrial operations.

  • Structuring and evolving the plant's operational technology architecture
  • Ensuring that the technological systems controlling the plant operate continuously and do not cause production stoppages.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will participate in the design and evolution of the operational technology architecture, including server infrastructures, industrial networks, and supervision platforms.
  • You will be responsible for the management and optimization of industrial IT environments, particularly Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualized environments.
  • You will also oversee the architecture of industrial networks (VLAN, OT/IT segmentation) and ensure the stability of communications between control systems and SCADA or DCS platforms.
  • As part of modernization projects, you will collaborate closely with engineering, automation, and information technology teams to ensure the integration and performance of systems supporting industrial processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation, industrial computing, or a related field
  • More than 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SCADA or DCS systems
  • Good understanding of industrial networks (Cisco / VLAN)
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory environments
  • Understanding of industrial cybersecurity issues
