About the role
About AMETRA Simulation
AMETRA Simulation is a design office specializing in mechanical and structural calculations, part of the AMETRA group which has 450 employees. Our team consists of 30 people.
Our design activities are carried out using finite element software and analytical calculations. Our activity is primarily mechanical (95%), but we also handle thermal and CFD studies occasionally. Furthermore, we are looking to strengthen our knowledge in Civil Engineering to better support our clients on steel/concrete interaction issues (anchors).
Our calculation design office has an exemplary reputation in the nuclear and defense sectors. Major groups in these sectors (EDF, Framatome, Orano, CEA, MBDA, Thales, Naval group..) turn to us for high-value-added projects. Our interactions and collaborations with various departments within each of these major players give us a 360° understanding of the calculation world and guarantee our employees a wide variety of subjects treated and opportunities for skill development.
Our recruitment process is rigorous and selective. It is based on an aptitude test to validate the candidate's knowledge level and learning capacity. Its success rate is around 10%, which is a good opportunity to challenge yourself! Engineers who pass this test will not only join a design office but also a supportive team.

You will perform analyses corresponding to the specifications:
- Finite element modeling (wireframe, surface, and volume)
- Analysis of behaviors (static, dynamic, vibratory)
- Verification and justification of assembly strength (screws, welding)
You will be involved in handling projects in the following areas:
- Equipment, pressure vessels, and piping
- Lifting and handling
- Defense and transport
You will be responsible for writing study reports. You will provide regular reporting to the Technical Manager.
In the medium term, you will be responsible for critically analyzing client needs and interpreting results.
In the long term, a career perspective towards project management is possible.
Your Assets
Graduates from Engineering schools, from recent graduates to experts, with:
- A strong understanding of Mechanics and a pronounced sense of physics
- Good knowledge of finite element software
- A solid foundation in RDM (Resistance of Materials) and MMC (Mechanics of Materials)
- Knowledge in signal processing
