Job Description

Project Context

Large industrial environments face major data challenges:

• Multiplication of information sources (business applications, PLM systems, databases, files, APIs…)
• Heterogeneity of formats and models
• Growing need for reliable, qualified, and up-to-date data
• Necessity for near real-time exchanges between systems

In this context, our teams are involved in setting up modern Data Engineering platforms, aiming to industrialize and govern data flows. Within this framework, we are looking for a Data Analyst / Business Analyst Data to actively participate in the design and development of these new data uses.

Your Missions

The Data Analyst / Business Analyst Data will be the interface between business units and Data Engineering teams, with the following objectives:

Business Needs Specification

• Understand business needs (development, configuration, certification).
• Translate these needs into functional and technical specifications for the Data Engineering teams.

Data Analysis and Modeling

• SQL querying and data manipulation in PostgreSQL.
• Participation in the design of data models (bronze → silver → gold).
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability.

Pipeline Implementation Support

• Participation in the creation and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines with Airflow, dbt, Flink, Kafka.
• Validation and control of data throughout the flow.

Reporting and Presentation

• Creation of dashboards to monitor data quality and availability.
• Communication with business units to ensure data meets operational needs.

Technical Environment

You will work in a modern, data-oriented ecosystem:

• Database & Querying: PostgreSQL, advanced SQL.
• Data Engineering / Pipelines: knowledge of Flink, Airflow, dbt, Kafka.
• Data Modeling: understanding of medallion architectures (bronze/silver/gold).
• Analytical and Business Skills: ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Languages / Scripting: Python or equivalent for data manipulation.

Qualifications

Graduated from an engineering school or university (Bac+5) with a passion for data and analysis, you ideally have:

• Experience in Data Analysis or Business Analysis Data, ideally in an industrial or aeronautical environment.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary squad (Data Engineers, developers, business stakeholders).
• Rigor, autonomy, and pedagogical skills to explain data challenges to business units.

Expected Skills

Technical:

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge or experience with the following technologies: Kafka, Flink, Airflow, dbt
• Understanding of modern data architectures (batch / streaming / event-driven)
• Awareness of performance and scalability issues

Behavioral:

• Analytical mindset and rigor
• Ability to work in complex environments and communicate with business stakeholders (engineering and business processes)
• Good interpersonal skills and enjoyment of teamwork in an agile scrum format
• Autonomy and technological curiosity
