ABOUT THE POSITION

You will join our Data & IA practice, which works on data transformation projects in various sectors: banking, insurance, industry, and life sciences. As part of this announcement, we are specifically solicited by a major client in the banking and finance sector, across several of its entities.

Referenced with this client, we are already involved in topics such as the redesign of Big Data platforms, the implementation of real-time pipelines, or the modernization of distributed environments in a regulatory context.

This position is open for permanent contract (CDI) only - no freelance status will be considered.

This is a mission-based recruitment: an interview with the client is part of the selection process.

YOUR MAIN MISSIONS

• Develop and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines on high-volume distributed environments
• Optimize Spark processing in production: performance, reliability, cost
• Integrate real-time flows via Kafka for business use cases (compliance, reporting, datamart feeding)
• Contribute to the technical evolution of the data platform: components, architecture, best practices
• Work in Agile mode within multidisciplinary IT and business teams
• Document developments and ensure operational continuity with run teams

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SELECTED

Education and experience

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in engineering or university (computer science, data, applied mathematics)
• 6 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, excluding internships and apprenticeships

Technical skills

• Processing and pipelines: Spark (PySpark / Scala), Python, Kafka, SQL
• Distributed environments: Hadoop (HDFS, YARN, Hive)
• Databases: NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB or equivalent)
• Cloud: Azure (ADLS, Synapse, ADF) or AWS (S3, Glue, EMR)
• Tools: Databricks, Airflow or equivalent

Role and posture

• Autonomy on assigned technical topics
• Operational English required - the client team is mixed and international

WHAT WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

• Experience in projects in the banking or financial sector (compliance, regulatory reporting, datamarts).
• Knowledge of Snowflake or Databricks
• Cloud or data certifications (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Cloudera)
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Git, Jenkins or Azure DevOps
