Work Environment, Missions, and Activities
You will join the Information Systems Department (DSI) within the infrastructure service for data processing and management. This is a team of passionate engineers and technical experts who design and operate the digital infrastructures necessary for the scientific and support activities of the institute (dry hosting, storage, IaaS, PaaS, databases). This collective works closely with INRAE's research and support teams, as well as numerous academic and institutional partners, and specialized service providers.
The position is part of a context of increasing pooling of digital infrastructures, integrating both internal solutions and sovereign academic or commercial cloud offerings. In this context, the DSI is evolving its on-demand infrastructure and platform services to meet the needs of units and departments, while respecting national orientations in terms of cloud strategy and information system security.
The challenges of the position involve defining and managing the evolution trajectory of virtualization and cloud services, ensuring their robustness and security, and supporting users in adopting these solutions. You will play a key role in advice, expertise, and coordination within a demanding environment of constant technological evolution.
Responsibilities
In this context, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Pilot the IaaS and PaaS offerings of the DSI: express needs, studies, evolutions, and integration into the DSI roadmap
- Maintain operational and security readiness, exploitability, and optimize long-term service exploitation
- Make architecture and solution choices consistent with the DSI and State policy
- Organize and conduct technological and partnership watch
- Contribute to the promotion of the service offering and support DSI teams and users in their usage
- Interact with numerous internal stakeholders and public or private partners within the framework of pooling projects
- Provide expertise and advice to DSI managers and teams
- Pilot security accreditation processes for information systems
- Manage your team (4 FTEs) resulting from the merger of two teams
- Report on work, risks, objectives, and resources implemented (budgets & HR)
- Ensure the quality of reference documents (inventories, maps, DAT, DEX, etc.)
The success of this competition qualifies for IT. The position opens up eligibility for an IT bonus as an analyst or project manager depending on experience.
Business trips in mainland France are to be expected depending on projects and service constraints. Work is frequently done by videoconference due to the geographical distribution of stakeholders. Interventions outside of working hours may be required exceptionally.
