Serma Ingénierie is constantly growing; that's why we are looking for several software IVVQ engineers to support our clients in their projects.

We are an ESN specialized in embedded systems and we support all major European industries in the architecture, design, development, industrialization, and maintenance of embedded electronic systems.

We are part of SERMA Group, the leading European laboratory for electronics expertise. This represents over 1,300 engineers and technicians, specialized in electronics and microelectronics expertise and engineering.

What you'll do

More specifically, you will be involved in the following missions:

  • Integration, verification tests for the simulation of a system based on the software under test and its environment study models.
  • Support for the specification of simulation and test tools.
  • Validation testing of simulation tools.

For integration/verification/validation tests, within the assigned scope:

  • Prepare associated scenarios and integration strategies (input configuration, integration steps, and objectives, etc.).
  • Prepare test procedures.
  • Perform and monitor software verification/validation tests.
  • Apply processes, methods, and tools related to IVV activities.

For the specification of simulation and test tools:

  • Write functional and non-functional specification documents for the tools, consistent with the functional and logical architecture of the system and the needs related to the integration targets planned by the project.
  • Apply processes, methods, and tools related to requirements management.

For validation testing of simulation tools:

  • Propose validation scenarios based on existing elements and project directions regarding the system's operational uses.

What we're looking for

  • Knowledge of DOORS tools for developing specification documents.
  • Knowledge of Qt.
  • Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methods and tools, particularly CAMEO or equivalent.
  • Requirements engineering and traceability.
  • JIRA agile project management tool.
  • Familiarity with IDE tools (Integrated Development Environments), software configuration management, repository management, testing (e.g., OCTANE), code analysis, and DevOps tools and methods.

What you'll do with us

More seriously, depending on our clients' needs and your seniority, you will support our clients on their projects and technical challenges, intervening at all stages of the V-model.

Who you'll work with

You will work directly at the client's site, within the existing project team.

You can also consult technical experts, if needed, whether they are at the client's or internal, in one of our design offices.

Your business manager, who will also be your manager, will ensure your follow-up throughout your assignments with our clients.

And after? The recruitment process

4 steps to jointly validate that it's a good fit:

  • An initial phone call (10–15 min) → to ensure the position and your expectations match.
  • A video or in-person interview with me and a business manager (30–45 min) → detailed discussion about the position, your experience, and our culture.
  • A technical interview or technical test → not mandatory, but possible depending on the process.
  • An interview at the client's site.
