Your daily life

On a state-of-the-art Bordeaux Campus, between the ocean and vineyards, we design and develop systems, equipment, and services to ensure the success of our clients' airborne missions.

The deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies is a major lever for competitiveness and operational excellence for Thales's avionics industry. As an Industrial Methods Engineer - Data Engineer (F/M), you will join the Methods department, consisting of 45 employees, and become part of a team dedicated to industrial engineering and the development of future factory technologies.

Your role is to collect and exploit industrial data in our production sites, to extract value from it and support the digital transformation of our operations. You will work in a stimulating and constantly evolving international environment, surrounded by professionals passionate about innovation and technology.

Your main missions:

• Lead and deploy Data Science projects to leverage industrial data.
• Collect, process, and analyze raw data to develop and maintain data pipelines using dedicated tools.
• Design and deploy adapted visualization solutions and technically support the development and maintenance of AI/Machine Learning models.
• Contribute to the industrial Data Science vision and technological watch.
• Exploit and industrialize future factory technological components by collaborating with multidisciplinary internal or external teams.
• Propose improvement areas, lead the evolution of tools, and participate in operational excellence.

The position can be based at one of our industrial sites in France. You will report functionally to the Data Science referent for the avionics industry. Regular travel in France and internationally is to be expected.

Your profile

• You hold a Bac +5 degree in industry with a specialization in data?
• You have significant experience in industrial methods, specifically in data collection and processing?
• You are attracted to advanced technologies: deep learning, supervised/un-supervised learning, computer vision, industrial connectivity?
• You have skills in the following areas:
  • Proficiency in Python libraries for Data Science, SQL queries, OpenSearch, Power BI
  • Use of Grafana, Dataiku, Figma
  • Notions in industrial network architecture
  • Project management in the implementation of digital tools and digital continuity
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
• You demonstrate autonomy, dynamism, and your interpersonal skills enable you to lead multidisciplinary teams?
• Organization, method, and rigor, sense of priorities, synthesis skills, and capacity for anticipation and innovation are all assets you possess?
