Your daily life

The Gennevilliers Campus is at the heart of the design, development, and support activities for major defense systems: radiocommunications, resilient networks and infrastructure systems, satellite communications, collaborative combat, and cybersecurity. Located north of Paris, it is easily accessible by public transport.

The System Engineering Directorate (DIS) Competence Center (CC) for the Mobile NetWorks (MNW) sector designs and delivers resilient network and infrastructure systems solutions for our defense sector clients.

Within this competence center, as a Operations and Supplier Relations Engineer F/M, you will join the System Solutions Directorate (DIS), whose main mission is to carry out all system engineering activities related to the development of satcom and tactical network solutions.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering Operations (HoEO), you will work in collaboration with engineering discipline managers, Delivery teams, and cross-functional functions (Purchasing, Management Control…).

YOUR MISSION:

As part of your Operations Engineer role, the following missions will be entrusted to you:

  • Supplier relationship management (capturing service needs, monitoring current and upcoming needs, tracking ongoing orders, receiving work in SAP, participating in regular subcontracting management meetings)
  • Support for defining the Make or Buy strategy of the MNW CC for the implementation and adherence to the subcontracting strategy
  • Support for managing MNW operational performance and communicating results to the Networks and Infrastructure Systems (NIS) Business Line (BL) and the Secure Communications & Information Systems (SIX) Global Business Unit (GBU)
  • Support for managing COTS within the CC
  • Support for evaluating and improving engineering processes implemented within the CC
  • Support for managing and animating the competitiveness initiative within the CC
  • Support for managing the training of our teams in good/new engineering practices.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • With an Engineering/Bac+5 degree, you have at least 5 years of experience in the development of complex aeronautical or defense systems in an international environment.
  • You have knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and processes.
  • You have an aptitude for managing engineering activities, particularly in financial and resource aspects (service providers, ...)
  • You have knowledge of network or radio communications and are interested in the military domain.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
