We are seeking a Senior Advanced Design Engineer to join the team responsible for the EVIO 810, contributing across all phases up to certification and sustainment.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Head of Structures & Design, the Senior Advanced Design Engineer will play a key role in developing a next-generation sustainable aircraft.
The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, is familiar with Part 25 (FAA/TCCA) compliance, and has a proven track record in modeling, continuous improvement, auditing, and design release for metallic and composite structures.
This high-impact role influences technical execution, program strategy, and supplier collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual and preliminary aircraft designs, including structures, interfaces, surfaces, and systems integration.
- Conduct trade studies, sizing, and design reviews.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure feasibility, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.
- Define best practices, workflows, and modeling standards.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate progress.
- Foster a culture of innovation, rigor, and collaboration.
- Represent the team in program reviews and client/supplier interactions.
- Support engineering standards, configuration control, and certification planning (Part 25/33).
Qualifications
- 10-15+ years aerospace (OEM or equivalent).
- Strong foundation in aerodynamics, propulsion, materials, and Part 23/25 certification.
- CAD proficiency (CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, NX) and simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, NASTRAN).
- Experience with metallic/composite materials, advanced surface modeling, and manufacturing processes.
- Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced degree in aerospace/aeronautical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: startup experience, advanced air mobility, publications/patents, passion for sustainable aviation.
