Job Description

To lead the Insurance Insights function, develop, analyse and manage business reports, data models and algorithms in an accurate and timely manner to enable strategic and operational decision making.

Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: First Degree
• Field of Study: Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting, Analytics

Experience Required

• 5-7 years
• Proven experience leading insights, analytics, or data science initiatives in a complex business environment, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Strong capability in building analytical, statistical, and machine learning models to solve real business problems, supported by a solid background in exploratory analysis and predictive techniques.
• Hands-on experience working with large, complex, and mixed data sources (both structured and unstructured), shaping these into reliable, reusable datasets that support decision-making.
• Strong data engineering and automation skills, with experience designing and overseeing end-to-end analytics processes from data ingestion and transformation through to insight delivery and operational reporting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark, experience working in Hadoop or distributed data environments, and comfort operating in production systems using SSH, command-line tools, and scheduled workflows (Cron).
• A solid understanding of modern data platforms and architectures, and experience partnering with engineering and technology teams to ensure analytics solutions are robust, scalable, and production-ready.
