As a Insights Analyst (Social) you’re confident in analyzing and understanding data. You complement this skillset with the type of curious, plugged in mindset that brings actionable colour and context to your interpretation of that data.

Transparency matters to us. For this role, you can expect a salary between $50,000- $70,000 annually, depending on experience. This is for a new vacancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Contribution: Partner with teams on insight requests to inform strategic approach to client briefs.
  • Strategic Planning: Offer data-informed perspectives on agency briefs and creative ideas, leveraging past campaign performance.
  • Research & Analysis: Act as a culture hunter: identify, analyze, and report on marketing performance, providing tangible recommendations for real-time and future optimizations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the go-to collaborator for Strategy and Account Management, inspiring on-trend content and acting as an influential voice in the agency.
  • Client Collaboration: Ability to list the things that are important to your client. Be respected by clients for your connectedness to our social community and culture.
  • Performance Measurement: Own KPI tracking, collection, and analysis across all platforms (social, web, apps, etc.). Set measurement objectives and forecast social KPIs using benchmarks.
  • Cultural Intelligence: Function as the team's insight engine: Conducting research studies, decoding consumer behavior, benchmarking competitors, and surfacing emerging trends to fuel sharper strategy.
  • Reporting & Operational Excellence: Build and deliver comprehensive analytics reports that go beyond the numbers. Proactively identify automation opportunities to improve team output and sharpen the speed of decision-making.
  • Data Storytelling: Create compelling presentations that bring data to life with effective visualization. Distill complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Team & Client Enablement: Serve as the trusted analytics partner, enabling colleagues and clients to confidently leverage data for business questions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in strategic/data-driven/market research roles within an agency or related environment, with proven and recognized strategic expertise, and a logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Some experience in integrating/using AI and other emerging technologies to improve yours and the agency’s strategic output.
  • Understanding of the creative development process in an agency environment.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, ability to maintain strong relationships with colleagues across strategy, business leadership, and creative communities.
  • Driven by curiosity and actively engaged in sharing new trends and news that are relevant to client opportunities.
  • Passion for and demonstrated experience in leveraging social media data to drive creative strategies. (Experience with social media is a prerequisite)
  • Preferable (but not required) to have experience with Tableau, Airtable, Asana, Google Workplace, SQL, Google Sheets Scripts.
  • Comfort and confidence working with big data, and advanced working knowledge of Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, custom formulae, and automation).
  • Prior experience working with third-party social media management and data analytics platforms like Emplifi, BrandWatch, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc., as well as native business suites of popular social platforms.
  • Most importantly, the ability to answer the “why?” and “so what?”
