Your role

As an IT Senior Analyst EDI, you will serve as a key functional expert in the EDI domain, supporting the Corporate Wholesale business. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining EDI solutions that ensure seamless data exchange between internal systems and external partners.

Main responsibilities

EDI Functional Analysis & Solution Design

• Design and implement EDI solutions for various transaction types (e.g., orders, invoices, Advance Shipping Notices, Catalogues).
• Collaborate with SAP teams (SD, MM, FI) to ensure proper integration of EDI flows with SAP processes.
• Manage EDI partner onboarding and configuration, including communication protocols (ex. AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN).
• Support testing, training, and deployment of EDI solutions and enhancements.

EDI Operations & Optimization

• Maintain documentation of EDI processes, mappings, and partner configurations.
• Understanding of partner onboarding and EDI configuration.
• Strongly collaborate and coordinate external EDI providers integrated with our company, based on business and projects priorities.
• Work closely with business users, IT teams, and other external consultants.
• Provide functional support and guidance during project phases and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Information) or Computer Science
• At least 5/6 years of experience in EDI analysis and implementation, preferably in an SAP-integrated environment.
• Strong knowledge of EDI standards (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML; OPTOCOOP) and communication protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN).
• Experience with SAP SD/LE modules and integration with EDI flows.
• Familiarity with middleware or EDI platforms, preferably SAP PI/PO
• Experience with EDI mapping and transformation tools
• Knowledge of data validation and error handling processes
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for EDI flows
• Knowledge of ABAP or other scripting languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP AFS is an advantage.
• Experience in international projects involving EDI integration.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (in Italy and abroad) so english has to be fluent ( French is a plus).
