About

We're looking for a Facilities Instrumentation Engineering Owner's Representative to play a key role in delivering advanced semiconductor manufacturing projects in Boise, ID. This role operates in a fast-paced, high-tech environment and partners with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.

In this position, you will act as the technical owner and advocate for Instrumentation and Controls scope during the tool installation phase of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will provide engineering and design oversight for final hookups, including fire alarm systems, chemical controls systems, toxic gas monitoring (TGM) systems, and associated programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Provide engineering and design oversight during installation of semiconductor manufacturing tools
  • Review and influence instrumentation and controls designs related to factory control systems, fire alarms, chemical controls, and TGM systems
  • Develop and review technical specifications for tool installation
  • Review vendor submittals and design deliverables to ensure compliance with requirements and applicable codes
  • Collaborate closely with facilities, construction, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful execution

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an associated degree in mechanical or chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering design of industrial control systems
  • Strong knowledge of International Fire Code (IFC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), UL, and IEEE standards
  • Experience selecting and specifying electrical and controls equipment and systems
  • Proven ability to review vendor submittals against contractual and technical requirements
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments

Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 2+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools (design, installation, or cleanroom use)
  • Field experience working directly with subcontractors and construction personnel
  • Familiarity with BIM/CAD tools such as Revit or AutoCAD
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a desire to learn, innovate, and continuously improve
