My client is a family owned insurer that writes surety, warranty, and surplus lines businesses.

They are seeking an Accounting Manager with a background in Property and Casualty insurance to join their team. The role reports directly into the CFO and will play a critical role in financial reporting, statutory compliance and accounting operations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of accounting experience within a P&C insurance company
  • Solid understanding of statutory accounting principles
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with SAP
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements including NAIC Filings
  • Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors and regulators
  • Perform account reconciliations and detailed variance analyses
  • Assist with premium, loss and expense analyses

Location

This role is on site, 4 days a week in Cockeysville.
