Integration Architect (Azure & APIs)

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Integration Architect to lead the design and implementation of Interac e-Transfer solutions across digital banking ecosystems. The role focuses on API-led integration, microservices architecture, and Azure-based orchestration within enterprise banking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Interac e-Transfer implementations across Digital Banking, Central 1, and Temenos T24 systems.
• Translate high-level architecture into detailed low-level designs (LLD) for Azure integration layers.
• Lead end-to-end integration design including service decomposition, orchestration, data mapping, and messaging standards (ISO 20022 / ISO 8583).
• Define API specifications, error handling, and interface contracts across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, compliance, and business teams to ensure regulatory and functional alignment.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams and enforce best practices across Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure Functions.
• Support integration testing and ensure scalable, production-ready payment solutions.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of experience in integration design and API development.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (APIM, Azure Functions).
• Experience with Interac e-Transfer implementations (minimum 2 years).
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 and ISO 8583 messaging standards.
• Development background in .NET / C#.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in banking and financial systems integration.
• Exposure to Temenos T24 and Central 1 ecosystems.
