Role

Making complex system landscapes manageable – that is the art of modern software development. We are looking for an experienced professional who defines API strategies, is responsible for integration platforms, and supports development teams on the path to resilient, cloud-native architectures. Technical depth meets creative freedom here.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the design, setup, and further development of a company-wide integration platform (iPaaS, ESB replacement, Event Mesh)
  • Definition and enforcement of API governance standards, including versioning, lifecycle management, and security policies
  • Implementation of integration solutions with modern technologies: Apache Kafka, MuleSoft, AWS EventBridge, or similar
  • Ensuring operational stability, observability (logs, traces, metrics), and SLA-compliant service operation
  • Development of reference architectures and reusable integration patterns for internal engineering teams
  • Technical sparring partner for product and architecture teams on complex integration projects
  • Promotion of an API-first culture and active participation in the technical roadmap

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of API security: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, mTLS, Zero-Trust network models
  • Proven experience with messaging systems, orchestration engines, and scalable event platforms
  • Strong conceptual understanding of fault tolerance, resilience, and consistency in distributed systems
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and modern deployment pipelines (GitOps, Helm)
  • Strong ability to prepare and document complex technical issues in an audience-appropriate manner
  • Proactiveness, entrepreneurial thinking, and enthusiasm for technological change
