What’s exciting about this position?

As an Interface Engineer, you will work alongside our project deployment team with project managers, application specialists and system engineers to deliver on common goals. You will work primarily with Sectra’s customers in Canada and can also pitch in for projects around the world as needed. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Have fun while doing impactful work
  • Partner with healthcare providers to determine how Sectra’s solutions can add the most value in improving patient-centered care
  • Be a key contributor on various projects to design, build, document, and troubleshoot interfaces that facilitate data exchange between Sectra and third‑party systems
  • Test and validate implemented interfaces based on requirements
  • Perform internal trainings and customer trainings if needed
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for the Sectra HL7 products
  • Uphold Sectra’s reputation as “Best in KLAS” for #1 in customer satisfaction

Salary Range

Our salary range for this role falls between $90,400 and $117,200. The final salary offer will depend on several key factors, including the candidate's level of experience, their specific skill set, and the overall alignment with the job requirements. Other considerations may include the candidate’s education, certifications, and any additional relevant qualifications. We aim to offer a competitive salary that reflects the value each individual brings to our team.

Requirements you should meet

  • A genuine love for technology and IT in the healthcare industry
  • A knack for analyzing and solving complex problems
  • Comfortable working close to end customers
  • Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and other healthcare interoperability standards
  • Operational experience in integration of clinical health care information systems, specifically with HL7 data

Nice to have

  • A degree in computer engineering or a diploma in networking/IT with strong academic performance, or equivalent
  • Experience with PACS technologies, medical imaging workflows, and tools
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of Mirth, XML and Data integration tools and techniques
  • Data Migration Experience (Flat‑File / HL7 / MS‑SQL)
  • Knowledge of SQL statements
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages (French would be a definite asset)
  • Exposure to diverse cultural experiences
