Electrical Design Engineer

Shape the future of electrical design at WSP in the Greater Toronto Area. This role primarily focuses on system design for heavy industrial applications with an emphasis on safety.

In this position, you will contribute to electrical power systems supporting mining and industrial sectors. With more than three years of hands-on experience, you’ll lead design activities across various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your insights will guide critical engineering decisions from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze electrical distribution for industrial projects
• Conduct system studies and generate accurate reports
• Prepare detailed specifications for key electrical components
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams for project execution
• Provide expert guidance and build client relationships

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of related engineering experience
• Eligibility for a P.Eng. designation in Ontario
• Proficient in power system modeling and safety regulations
• Experience in industrial environments such as refineries
• Ability to travel to project sites safely
