About the Role

The Public Sector team is looking for a motivated and curious intern to join us for six months, from September 2026 to February 2027. You will play an active role in climate risk assessment and modeling across multiple geographies, contribute to the design of parametric insurance solutions for weather-related events, and support a wide range of technical analyses for our public sector clients.

Beyond the technical work, you will have the opportunity to present findings to key players in the international development ecosystem, including the World Bank, AFD, other development banks, international institutions, NGOs, and governments. It’s a unique chance to see the full journey from data to real-world impact.

What You’ll Do

Technical contributions

  • Develop statistical models for risk and exposure mapping
  • Identify exposure and vulnerability factors and track their evolution over time
  • Define indices to represent hazard severity and impacts
  • Associate return periods with meteorological indices through statistical modeling
  • Share your modeling approaches and explain technical concepts clearly within the team

Risk analysis support (mainly for drought, flood)

  • Collect data from public sources and partner data providers
  • Prepare technical materials for meetings with stakeholders and clients
  • Contribute to the writing of high-quality reports and their presentation to clients
  • Support the development of new products and tools to communicate our risk perspectives
