The National Advanced Surface-to-Air System (NASAMS) is a highly mobile and tailorable capability that protects the airspace of 13 countries and Washington, DC. In 2027, we will do final assembly, test, and sustainment of the Naval Strike Missile and Joint Strike Missile systems at a new factory in southern Virginia.

Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, Inc. is seeking an Internal Operations Project Manager to support our growing Alexandria, VA office. In this role, you will lead the delivery of internal operations initiatives and strategic projects that strengthen organizational performance across the company. You’ll coordinate cross‑functional teams, streamline processes, and drive key priorities forward—ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute projects aligned with KDA operational standards and strategic priorities.
- Own project budgets and financial reporting; track costs against approved guidelines.
- Build and manage project schedules; monitor milestones and key performance indicators.
- Coordinate across Finance, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Compliance to ensure delivery.
- Lead risk identification and mitigation planning throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage resource planning, including external support agreements as needed.
- Provide regular status updates to the VP of Operations and senior leadership.
- Support strategic initiatives including process improvement, organizational change, and capability development.
- Contribute to cross-functional working groups advancing operational efficiency and long-term business goals.
- Drive internal project prioritization in alignment with corporate and divisional strategy.
- Support knowledge transfer and continuous improvement through post-project evaluations.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
Experience Qualifications:
- 4+ years of project or operations experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
Additional requirements:
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR requirements.
