Job Description
Within the Business Strategy and Transformation organization, and reporting to the Global Director of Portfolio Development & Innovation, Mayoly is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support all of its business entities.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing product development projects, from the concept phase to market launch, with the objective of commercializing high-value-added products.
They will lead internal and external collaborations across a wide range of activities (Food supplements, OTC, Medical devices, Pharmaceuticals, Dermo-cosmetics) and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective coordination of all functions involved in innovation projects (industrial affairs, CMC development, quality, medical and regulatory affairs, marketing, commercial operations, intellectual property, etc.), while ensuring aligned and efficient execution.
They will also be responsible for the continuous deployment and adherence to project governance and project management processes, ensuring proper milestone completion and formal validations in accordance with established standards.
Finally, the Project Manager will be responsible for portfolio development, including in-depth monitoring of innovation key performance indicators (KPIs), analysis of associated variances, and updating the product catalog, to ensure company-wide access to reliable and up-to-date information.
Missions:
Project Scope Definition
- Ensure accurate translation of the marketing concept into a clear project brief, including all development-related specifications.
- Define the resources needed for the project: skills (internal and external), equipment, and budget.
Project Planning
- Develop a detailed work plan, identifying and sequencing all activities necessary for the project's success and product launch within deadlines.
- Anticipate, plan, coordinate, and monitor all project phases in relation to milestones to optimize overall efficiency.
- Consolidate contributions from all involved functions.
Project Management
- Lead the project team responsible for executing the plan and provide appropriate leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage the project in accordance with the established plan, ensuring adherence to deadlines, scope, budget, and commercial viability.
- Ensure compliance with innovation processes (phases, gates, governance).
Product Launch
- Coordinate launch activities with headquarters and local teams (marketing, regulatory, medical, industrialization & supply, country teams).
- Post-launch: monitor KPIs via the launch dashboard.
Value Creation
- Ensure the reliability of the profit and loss (P&L) at all project stages.
- Closely monitor innovation KPIs (time-to-market, financial performance) and update systems in coordination with Supply and IT teams.
- Maintain and update the product catalog (existing products and innovations) in conjunction with the markets, with the support of an intern.
- Implement a quarterly newsletter, with the support of an intern.
Candidate Profile:
- Scientific background: Pharmacist or Scientific Engineer (chemistry, biology, or related fields).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the development of food supplements, OTC products, medical devices, and Rx drugs.
- Ideally, 5 years of experience in food supplement development in an environment where development is primarily outsourced to partners. Experience in optimizing outsourced development processes is required.
- Fluent English to manage international partners.
