About the Role

The International Project Leader Logistic Transport Customs will be responsible for supporting the building and deployment of 3-Year Plan projects for worldwide logistic, transport, and customs operations.

3 Years Plan Construction

The plan will be built based on:

  • Overall Supply Chain strategy, central operational strategy, and regional Business requirements.
  • Overall scope of systems in place, regional innovations, and initiatives within the company.

The 3-year plan includes strategic projects such as TMS for BtoB AMERICAS, APAC, and BtoC Worldwide, deployment of a global Customs Management System, deployment of a Warehouse Management Model Worldwide, leadership of complex innovative projects in automation and AI, and many others.

Responsibilities

The International Project Leader Logistic Transport Customs will lead transversal governance with central and regional managers to drive, consolidate, frame, and prioritize shared initiatives/optimizations/evolutions/changes in regulations. They will coordinate director and manager teams, inspire, motivate, and lead different stakeholders transversally to leverage creativity and bring innovative solutions. They will support each department and leader in building quantitative and qualitative return on investment for each project considered a priority for each requester. They will also ensure a global approach, making sure best practices and synergies between regions are applied. Additionally, they will ensure the formalization of all logistic flows/systems and provide support on regional complex projects as needed.

The International Project Leader Logistic Transport Customs will represent Downstream Supply Chain for Corporate & Social Responsibility of the company and will lead strategic projects and their deployment at the group level, supporting regions in their projects and measurement of carbon savings as needed.

Detailed Responsibilities

Deploy WW Logistic Transport and Customs Road Map for Major Projects:

  • Building of 3Y Plan project roadmaps WW with regional and central leaders and Group director for logistic, transport & customs operations.
  • Lead definition of a strategy and planning for project portfolio included into 3 Years logistic roadmap and which would be under scope of project leadership.
  • Lead for budget management of all projects under responsibility.
  • Guarantee with Transformation team, Solutions, Finance, Production, Legal, Regions, Logistic Partners and others if necessary, that proposed global strategy is feasible and catch feedbacks, constraints to finetune approach and planning.
  • Onboarding of all project team members, internal DSC and other services with Kick-off meetings and appropriate project governance meetings.
  • Ensure appropriate formalization and communication is given to project team members and management.

Major Project Leader for Transport Management System WW (List non-exhaustive & evolutive):

  • Will be responsible for deployment of Transport management system for BtoB in Americas & APAC.
  • Lead for designing best IT solutions for BtoC distribution channel, ensuring that IT solution & architecture of application will reply all Business requirements.
  • Build detailed matrix which will formalize detailed requirements and how the application selected will reply each of them.
  • Formalize target design and validate with Omnichannel top management.
  • Build functional solution with overall company department and cobuild technical solutions.
  • Project lead and monitoring for each steps of the project with every department, onboard User teams, motivate and build clear & SMART objectives, ensure proper training of Key Users and Users.
  • Guarantee a clear and structured stabilization phase is performed and 100% of problems resolved to guarantee customers and Business partners satisfaction.
  • Deploy a strong dashboarding tool to generate clear and easy communication to Business onto overall Transportation performance.
  • Develop a advanced Invoicing control tool and strategy for all our transport activities Worldwide.

Transport Management System - Return on Investment Measurement Lead:

  • Build and update a structured reconciliation file which consolidate every Transport opportunity of gains ( LT / Cost/ Security/Mode of transport/ Customer satisfaction / Traffic on Website/ Efficiency…) on main topics covered by functionalities deployed within the tool.
  • Consolidate any missed opportunity of gains ( LT / Cost/ Security/Unefficiency…) because of functionnally missing or unefficiency of the TMS systems to feed continuous improvements strategy.
  • Build targeted KPIs which would be analyze and followed via Dashboard to cover entire scope of TMS (BtoB & BtoC).
  • Update and compare, on a Quarterly basis, reconciliation file of transportation strategy / Gains or loss avoidance with Central Senior Transport manager to prepare Group communication.
  • Consolidate WW requirements and opportunities/added value for an investment into a WW Customs management systems.
  • Benchmark market of AI within Supply Chain to prepare and plan future and continuous improvements for DSC activities.
  • Lead upgrade of our IT applications(ERP/WMS/TMS/CMS)with IT department.

Other Projects:

  • Lead CITES digitalization project with Italian government & Nippon to deploy optimize, reliable and smooth CITES distribution flows.
  • Participate, build and formalize global WMS strategy for Warehouse management worldwide, considering different sizes of warehouses, targeted IT architecture, global ROI.
  • Build RFID & Warehouse automation global strategy and lead deployment project with central & Regional organizations.
  • Deploy in partnership with Group logistic director Global distribution network performance Matrix & Dashboard, build automated way of consolidating the data to build review with Logistic/Transport/Customs leaders and communication to Management.
  • Be a CSR ambassador for Downstream Supply Chain department, responsible to build, formalize and deploy DSC roadmap, ensure transversal governance between departments.

Skills / Competencies Required

  • Master Degree in Supply Chain
  • At least 10 years managing miscellaneous logistic, transport and customs projects.
  • Good experience with ERP use and Warehouse Management Systems concept.
  • Knowledge of security, safety, compliance and customs regulations.
  • Good project methodology with proven success in project roll-out.
  • Previous knowledge with Call of tender opening and participation.
  • Wide understanding of Supply Chain/Company and related activities (QC, Retail, Legal…).
  • Good relationship, good negotiation skills, reliable, analytical skills.
  • Perfect command of MS Office (especially Excel), VBA an asset.
  • Good analysis and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Incoterms and associated roles and responsibilities.
  • Good understanding of interconnection between fiscal, customs and logistic flows.
  • Good understanding of Custom matters and needs in the regions.
  • Good understanding of Warehousing activities.
  • Good capacity to positively influence and inspire others and management.
  • Comfortable with fact and figures approach.
  • Capacity to manage pressure and peak of activities upon need.
  • Fluent in French and English
