A leading player in the fast-growing Travel Retail sector is looking for an International Project Manager Merchandising & Retail Design to join its "Retail Concept" Department.

Reporting directly to the Director of Retail Concept, your main mission will be the international deployment of store concepts in close collaboration with internal teams (Store Design, Marketing, Sales...) from the complete elaboration of the brief for the external agency and the internal Design Studio to the opening of the stores.

Thus, you will ensure the realization of store concepts in their operational dimensions: customer journey / layout, interior design and furniture, experiences, digital tools, in-store communication, etc.

Responsibilities

Merchandising / Marketing:

  • Using existing internal reports, identify and synthesize key market and consumer trends.
  • Create inspiration books (Culture, lifestyle, Design, furniture insights...) to develop a competitive and differentiating commercial vision for each tender.
  • Participate in internal discussions to enrich the layout strategy (plan, category placement, customer journey), collaborating transversally with countries and the project team.
  • Actively contribute to the proposal of layout and design concepts, including the creation or adaptation of the overall store design, in collaboration with the Design agency and internal teams, while respecting the store concept guidelines.
  • Develop the Design agency brief and write the tender book content in accordance with the Communication team's brief.
  • Coordinate agencies and the work schedule in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of commercial and experiential furniture to optimize the commercial strategy of existing concepts.
  • Ensure fluid and effective collaboration with internal teams.

Merchandising & Store Layout (store openings/refits projects):

  • Project management and monitoring of merchandising elements of the Store Concept (in-store passenger journey/layout/category placement/adjacencies, design, visual merchandising, in-store communication, fittings, store programming, etc.) up to the openings in the store network in conjunction with internal French and international teams.
  • Develop briefs for evolution and adaptation of the concept to local specificities (passenger typologies, airport expectations) across all operational dimensions: customer journey/offer placement, interior design intentions and furniture, signage, in-store communication, visual merchandising, digital tools, design/furniture, fittings.
  • Ensure the quality of execution and the correct conformity/application of store concepts across the network in France or internationally.
  • Analyze the performance of the concept in stores and propose solutions for adaptation or evolution of the concept if necessary.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree from University / Business School (required).
  • This position requires 6 to 10 years of experience as a Marketing / Merchandising & Store Layout Project Manager, IMPERATIVELY in the RETAIL sector and internationally.
  • You have a perfect command of the simultaneous management of international Retail marketing/merchandising projects and the development of complete briefs with design agencies.

Required Qualities/Skills:

  • Keen sense of organization and ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills with an understanding of KPIs, market, and consumer analysis.
  • Open-mindedness and proactivity.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team, with strong interpersonal skills in an intercultural context.
  • Design and trend sensitivity.
  • Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Fluent English required / 5% travel expected.

Compensation

  • Annual fixed salary: €55k - €65k depending on profile.
