Hire Resolve’s client is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Inventory Accountant in the industrial sector located in Gauteng. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the management of inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This position involves interacting with various departments to streamline inventory processes and enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the arrangement, maintenance, and reporting of inventory levels across the organization
• Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy
• Analyze discrepancies and work closely with multiple departments to resolve issues
• Prepare and maintain detailed inventory reports for management review
• Assist in developing inventory management strategies to minimize loss and optimize resources
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Lead inventory reconciliation processes and ensure timely financial reporting
• Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify trends for improvement
• Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting related to inventory

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in inventory management or accounting, preferably in the industrial sector
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Computer literate in fully integrated computer systems (Baan, SAP, BPCS, etc.)
• Previous stock inventory knowledge and experience
