Our client is a successful and well-established international private equity fund, with their entrepreneurial smaller mid-cap team looking for an Associate to be based in Frankfurt. The fund has an excellent track record across multiple fund cycles and a strong deal pipeline. They invest in buyouts with a focus on business services, healthcare, and industrial tech. What the job involves

• Participating in the full investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and execution to value creation and exit
• Leading key workstreams within lean deal teams and taking on responsibility from day one
• Conducting financial analysis, modelling, and due diligence, and preparing investment materials for internal committees
• Working closely with portfolio companies to drive strategic and operational improvements alongside management teams
• Building relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, advisers, and investors
• Leveraging new technologies (e.g. AI/LLMs) to enhance research, analysis, and investment processes

Who we are looking for

• Relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting with deal exposure
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and quantitative skill set
• Team player with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and high level of ownership
• Growth-oriented individual who thrives in a high-performance, collaborative environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
• Interest and experience in using new technologies (e.g. AI/LLMs) to improve efficiency
• German speaker with excellent English language skills
