Investment Analyst

A fast‑growing renewable energy infrastructure company is looking to hire an Investment Analyst to support the investment, financing, and execution of large‑scale battery storage (BESS) projects across Germany.

Battery storage is one of the most critical building blocks of the energy transition. In this role, you will work on the investment and commercial side of building that infrastructure – analysing energy markets, building financial models at asset level, and supporting project and acquisition‑related investment decisions.

You’ll work closely with project development and finance, contributing directly to decisions on which projects move forward and how they are structured, financed, or acquired.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and maintain investment‑grade financial models for large‑scale battery storage projects (BESS)
• Analyse project economics, cash flows, and returns for new development and acquisition opportunities
• Support the evaluation of project acquisitions, platform opportunities, partnerships, and strategic investments
• Prepare business cases, cash‑flow forecasts, and scenario analyses to assess downside/upside risk
• Create materials to support investment and capital allocation decisions for senior management and investors
• Support due diligence processes and the structuring and execution of new infrastructure investments
• Work closely with project development, investments, and finance in a lean, execution‑focused environment

What they’re looking for

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Economics, or a comparable field
• 1–4+ years of relevant experience in areas such as:
  • Investment Banking
  • Transaction Advisory / M&A
  • Corporate Finance
  • Energy or Infrastructure Consulting
  • Infrastructure / Renewable Energy Investments
• Strong Excel and hands‑on financial modelling skills (project / investment models)
• Clear interest in energy markets, infrastructure assets, and investment decision‑making
• Analytical mindset with strong commercial judgement
• Fluent German and good English
