Vast is developing next‑generation space stations to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. Using an incremental, hardware‑rich and low‑cost approach, Vast is rapidly developing its multi‑module Haven Station. Haven Demo’s 2025 success made Vast the only operational commercial space station company to fly and operate its own spacecraft. Next, Haven‑1 is expected to become the world’s first commercial space station when it launches, followed by additional Haven modules to enable permanent human presence by 2030. The team is all‑in, committed to executing the mission safely and on time.

Vast is looking for an Information Systems Support Specialist, reporting to the Senior Technology Operations Manager, to support the development of the systems required for the design and build of artificial‑gravity human‑rated space stations. This is a full‑time, non‑exempt position located in Long Beach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 support for all VAST Enterprise Systems (including but not limited to ERP, MES, PLM and other engineering systems).
  • Allocate 80 % of time to L1/L2 support and 20 % to project‑related work.
  • Serve as first point of contact/line of support for any software/application support needed.
  • Perform license provisioning for engineering systems and corporate systems.
  • Monitor, respond to, and resolve incidents in an ITSM system while ensuring SLA performance metrics are met (e.g., Jira SM, ZenDesk).
  • Learn to triage project requests on top of day‑to‑day L1/L2 support.
  • Maintain strong understanding of the enterprise system landscape and functional knowledge of processes.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Manage enterprise application access controls, troubleshoot/reproduce software bugs, and partner with Technical Product Managers on larger projects.
  • Provide support for multiple locations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in IT or Information Systems support.
  • Proven experience with ITSM tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent cross‑collaboration communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve difficult technical issues with limited information.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing/aerospace environment.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications such as NetSuite, Manufacturo, NX/Teamcenter, engineering systems.
  • Prior experience working in a fast‑paced startup environment or enterprise‑level environment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations and standards regarding IT and data.
  • Experience supporting 800+ end users.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting and application support skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and exhibits proactivity/can‑do attitude.

Pay Range

IS Support Specialist II: $27.88 – $39.90 USD (California)
