IT Business Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a IT Business Analyst for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 7 month contract opportunity.

This senior-level role serves as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex business processes, gathering detailed requirements, and recommending solutions to support strategic objectives and drive operational improvements within an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis
• Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement or automation
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams
• Support testing, training, and deployment of new systems or enhancements
• Facilitate communication between business users and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation to support decision-making

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Visio, JIRA, or Tableau
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Desired Skills

• Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus

Compensation

Pay range: $75.76 - $79.76 per hour
