IT Business Analyst - Software/Systems Focus 💰 Salary: $115,000 - 155,000 per year

📝 Rquirements: - Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a similar technical discipline. - At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst focusing on IT system design, data integration, or enterprise application initiatives. - Proven track record in gathering and documenting business and system requirements, process flows, and specifications for technical teams. - Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies. - Strong organizational and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and requirements documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Azure DevOps). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Preferred: Experience in working with or supporting federal agencies. - Preferred: Familiarity with SQL and data analysis software. - Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise data warehouse (EDW) systems. - Preferred: Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or hybrid development frameworks. - Preferred: Experience with business intelligence tools and performance metrics tracking. - Preferred: Understanding of Section 508 compliance and federal IT accessibility standards.

👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are: - Review, analyze, and assess IT systems, stakeholder requirements, and current processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with organizational goals. - Gather, document, and validate both business and technical requirements, use cases, data definitions, process flows, and critical performance indicators (KPIs). - Collaborate with developers, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to devise IT system solutions that fulfill functional and non-functional criteria. - Conduct workflow analysis and design business process workflows using tools like Visio. - Assist in the creation of project documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and change requests. - Perform data analysis and facilitate data mapping activities. - Lead meetings, Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, and working groups to gather requirements and support decision-making processes. - Track and analyze business and project metrics; assist in the development and monitoring of KPIs and performance dashboards. - Partner with project managers to aid in planning, status reporting, and risk identification. - Ensure that all documentation and deliverables adhere to federal policies and governance frameworks.
