Responsibilities

As an IT Cloud Engineer, you will work in a highly qualified team, in a very innovative IT environment, and in an equally exciting and diverse field. The tasks in this position include:

• Operation, monitoring, and continuous development of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), including incident, problem, and change management
• Planning, design, and implementation of cloud architectures and platform services according to standards and best practices
• Automation and standardization using Infrastructure as Code (focus on Terraform) and CI/CD (focus on Azure DevOps) for efficient resource provisioning
• Support and consulting for application and infrastructure teams on cloud migrations, modernization (e.g., containers, managed services), and troubleshooting
• Ensuring availability, performance, and cost optimization
• Creation and maintenance of operational documentation, runbooks, and service catalogs, as well as continuous improvement of processes and standards

Qualifications

You have a completed IT education with professional experience or a completed degree in computer science. In addition, the following points characterize you:

• Several years of experience in the engineering and operation of cloud platforms (focus on Azure) and a sound understanding of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS service models
• Practical experience in automation/Infrastructure as Code as well as version control and deployment processes (e.g., Git, CI/CD)
• Sound know-how in cloud security (IAM, network, encryption, secrets, logging/monitoring), as well as governance/compliance
• Structured analytical and problem-solving skills
• Documentation skills and enjoyment of teamwork
• Very good German and English skills (min. level B2)
