IT Infrastructure technical lead / SRE

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of non-investment IT infrastructure (on-prem and cloud)
• Primary interface with outsourced MSP — drive delivery, escalate issues, step in hands-on when needed
• Manage and maintain: Azure (VMs, storage, services), networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs), Linux & Windows servers, SQL & NoSQL databases, GitLab & CI/CD pipelines, Docker/containerized deployments
• Build automation using Python and PowerShell for deployments and configuration management
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
• Own the firm's cybersecurity posture — access controls, vulnerability management, security hardening
• Level 2/3 escalation support including on-site hardware diagnostics
• 24/7 availability for critical issues

Required Skills

• Senior infrastructure / IT support experience (L2/L3)
• Microsoft Azure administration
• PowerShell scripting (primary), Python, familiarity with C++ or Java
• Networking fundamentals — routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls
• GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, source control
• SQL and NoSQL database management
• IaC tooling (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
• Docker / containerization
• Strong cybersecurity and compliance orientation
• Comfortable using AI tools to rapidly prototype and ship solutions

Preferred

• Hedge fund, trading firm, or financial services IT experience
• Self-starter comfortable working with high autonomy and minimal oversight
