We are seeking a versatile IT Product Manager / Project Manager for a one-year contract engagement to take ownership of enterprise applications within the HR technology ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge the gap between product strategy and project execution, serving as the primary advocate for the user while leading the delivery of critical HR-focused initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure application governance, security compliance, and seamless system optimizations.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in Product and/or Project Management within an enterprise environment.
- Direct experience supporting Human Resources teams and a deep understanding of HRIS or talent management platforms.
- Proven track record managing the full product lifecycle in an Agile development environment, including backlog management and user story creation.
- Strong background in enterprise application governance, information security, and vendor management.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage complex cross-functional dependencies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product strategies and business requirements that align with HR and corporate objectives.
- Oversee enterprise application governance, ensuring all tools adhere to information security, change management, and access policies.
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles for HR-related initiatives, including scope definition, timelines, and resource coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, assessing roadmaps and facilitating timelines for upgrades or feature enhancements.
- Lead the coordination of feature releases and system upgrades, ensuring proper end-user training and documentation are maintained.
- Monitor product performance and gather user feedback to drive continuous improvement and high-quality functionality.
Additional Information
- This is a one-year contract position with the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
- The position follows a hybrid model requiring two days per week in a modern office located in Midtown Manhattan near Grand Central.
