Overview
Employment in this role is contingent upon successful execution of the client contract.
The Work
The IT Project Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and overseeing various IT projects under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager or designated agency staff. This position requires regular interaction with mid-level officials from both user agencies and the private sector, ensuring project execution aligns with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all elements of assigned IT projects under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager or designated personnel.
- Work closely with clients and agency officials to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Develop and implement project plans to ensure all objectives are met efficiently.
- Coordinate activities across internal and external teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Lead project resources, assign tasks, and monitor progress to achieve project goals.
- Monitor project activities to identify and mitigate risks as they arise during the project lifecycle.
- Implement and manage quality assurance processes to maintain agency standards in deliverables.
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, implementing necessary improvements.
- Prepare and present project status updates, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Participate in project reviews with stakeholders and leadership to discuss progress.
- Ensure all project documentation and procedural records are maintained accurately.
- Develop project schedules and release plans in collaboration with product teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct various studies to support project decisions, including feasibility and cost-benefit analyses.
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and policies throughout the project.
- Establish change management standards and participate in change control processes.
- Develop information systems and security plans to protect project data.
- Ensure adequate training and documentation for end-users regarding product functionalities.
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, project teams, and agency personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The qualifications and skills outlined below provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. - Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.)
- Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). (This certification is required and cannot be substituted with additional experience.)
- Minimum of five (5) years of extensive project management experience, including at least three (3) years in a lead capacity managing resources and interfacing with executive leadership.
- Experience in business processes, data migration, and system implementation best practices.
- Experience in quality assurance activities within large-scale system implementations.
- Proficient in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
- Experience in refining and specifying functional requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
- Minimum of three (3) years providing project management services to state entities on comparable IT projects.
- Three (3) years of experience leading IT projects using Agile methodologies.
- Three (3) years of experience managing projects involving cloud-based services, preferably Salesforce or ServiceNow.
- Experience in Organizational Change Management for at least three (3) years.
- Experience in capital planning and investment assessment for IT initiatives.
- Familiarity with contracting and procurement practices for IT projects.
- Demonstrated financial management skills in large-scale IT programs.
- Proficiency in configuration and information management systems.
- Experience with IT performance assessment and metrics analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Task Accomplishment Plans (TAP) and associated project management techniques.
- Experience in implementing project management standards throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Ability to document, track, and resolve project-related risks and issues.
- Experience in providing project management briefings and presentations for stakeholders.
- Skilled in reviewing project deliverables and providing technical input.
- Ability to maintain a log of technical and fiscal issues throughout projects.
- Experience in post go-live support and monitoring service level agreements.

Pay Range: USD $135,287.00 - USD $152,237.00 /Yr.
