Position: IT Project Manager (Full‑Time)

Location: Client site in Washington, D.C. (convenient access to Metrorail and Metrobus)
Security Clearance: Active Top‑Secret with SCI eligibility (U.S. citizenship required)


Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide analytical support for facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, business‑management techniques, and organizational development.
  • Provide recommendations, contribute to, and prepare briefings for business, management, technology, operational processes, and procedures.
  • Perform business/financial/management analysis focused on coordination, accounting, planning, and administration functions.
  • Manage budgeting, financial analysis, planning, and control of funding and allocation of funding.
  • Develop service‑catalog information in a SharePoint environment, including project‑management process sites for project tracking, request management, risk management, and knowledge management.
  • Build and implement templates (e.g., sample project plans, charters, business cases, risk registers, risk‑management guides) to standardize project management across the organization.
  • Implement processes to capture and document required project‑execution criteria and documentation, including project‑management process approaches.
  • Provide development and implementation support for project prioritization and resource allocation using predefined criteria, measurement, and reporting.
  • Facilitate use and training of tools such as MS Project and SharePoint.
  • Serve as project support to project managers: assist with creating project plans, coordinating activities, and tracking progress to ensure forward movement.
  • Support cross‑collaboration efforts and act as a liaison between agencies across the IC to ensure project progress, identify roadblocks, and manage risks.
  • Facilitate escalation of risk issues and mitigation recommendations to appropriate authorities (Deputy CIO, Project Leads, Division Chief) and manage resolution of issues, including project impacts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of overall project‑management experience for any government agency.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PMBOK and Agile methodologies.
  • BA or BS from an accredited college or university in engineering, information assurance, cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (advanced degree highly desired).
  • Commitment to providing high‑value services and solutions to meet the client’s mission needs.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio.
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion to meet client deadlines.

Security Clearance & Work Location

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • Active Top‑Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required; the successful candidate must pass a comprehensive background check/screening process.
  • Position is located at a client site in Washington, D.C., with convenient access to Metrorail and Metrobus.
