About the role
Position Overview:
As an IT Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity posture, safeguarding data, and ensuring compliance across IT environments, including cloud and enterprise applications. Your expertise in security engineering will help protect our organization’s systems and sensitive information from unauthorized access while adhering to regulatory and contractual obligations. The target pay range for this role is $90,000.00 to $120,000.00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and enforce enterprise security controls including network, cloud, application, and endpoint security.
- Design, implement, and oversee data protection measures such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), information protection, and encryption technologies.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions, focusing on Information Protection, DLP, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, Audit, Data Governance, and Data Security Posture Management.
- Conduct security monitoring, investigations, and coordinate incident response efforts with the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Manage essential security technologies like firewalls, CASB, web filtering, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management systems.
- Create and maintain security policies, standards, and procedural documentation.
- Participate in system access reviews, compliance audits, and assist in gathering evidence for audits.
- Provide security guidance for various IT projects, applications, and technologies.
- Collaborate with Legal, HR, Risk, and business teams on investigations, insider risk, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, regulatory changes, and advancements in security technology.
- Utilize strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, along with practical experience in network and application security.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft security platforms, including Microsoft Purview, Defender, and Azure security controls is essential.
- Familiarity with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001/27002, CIS, FINRA, and SEC regulations.
- Analyze audit logging, conduct forensic analysis, and manage security investigations.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exhibit strong communication capabilities, both written and verbal.
- Assess business risks effectively and implement appropriate security measures.
- Uphold professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and an ability to thrive under pressure.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity engineering, or data protection is necessary.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISA, CCSP, AZ-500, or equivalent.
