As an OT Security Engineer at Halliburton, your role is central to safeguarding operational technology (OT) environments from cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Implementing and managing OT security controls, measures, and technologies to protect critical assets and systems
• Leading incident response efforts and coordinating with outsourced security operations teams
• Working closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) for proactive threat hunting and reactive incident response
• Helping automate security processes such as patching, logging, and alerting
• Analyzing vulnerabilities and assisting with timely remediation
• Promoting a culture of security awareness among OT personnel and stakeholders
• Providing daily/weekly reports on security status, including incidents, vulnerabilities, and overall health of OT systems
• Maintaining detailed documentation of security configurations, incident reports, and response plans
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align security efforts with broader organizational objectives
• Managing security tools and technologies used within the OT security program
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OT security and incident response capabilities based on evolving threats and industry developments

Key Skills and Attributes

• Hands‑on experience in OT security engineering, incident response, or a related field
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA systems
• Proven experience with OT and IT security technologies such as firewalls, IDS, vulnerability detection, SIEM solutions
• Knowledge of OT security principles and best practices
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
• Strong problem‑solving abilities developed through on‑the‑job experience
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GICSP, GCIH, GRID, Certified Incident Handler)
• Previous experience in the oil and gas or energy sector is a plus
• Familiarity with industry‑specific standards and regulations related to OT security
• Ability to adapt to changing OT technology and security landscape
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends

Basic Qualifications

• Graduate (Masters Degree Preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience with 3 years in OT/IT security
