At Calgon Carbon Corporation we are looking for a Security engineer!

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent certification in IT Cyber Security, Information Technology, or Computer Technology (considering relevant experience)
  • 5-7 years of direct and pertinent cyber security experience (including endpoint, network, perimeter, and threat management)
  • 5-7 years of experience in security administration across multiple platforms and applications
  • 5-7 years of familiarity with IT compliance standards and frameworks
  • 5-7 years of experience in implementing process improvements

Your responsibilities are:

  • Oversee all facets of information and cyber security, including endpoint, network, access management, and compliance
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement optimal IT security and compliance designs and technology solutions
  • Monitor networks and systems for incidents, breaches, and unauthorized access
  • Conduct network vulnerability scans and analyze results
  • Perform penetration testing to uncover exploitable weaknesses
  • Investigate and remediate security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Lead security incident responses and analyze root causes to minimize impacts
  • Ensure security awareness training is provided to staff on best practices and policies
  • Manage IT security service requests and related processes
  • Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure to align with internal policies and compliance requirements
  • Ensure adherence to relevant frameworks such as CMMC, DFARS, ITAR, and EU NIS2
  • Coordinate regular control assessments and remediate identified gaps
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external auditors
  • Lead and manage security initiatives within Calgon Carbons IT environment
  • Serve as project manager for IT security and compliance projects, including developing timelines and resource plans
  • Manage relationships with IT suppliers to optimize investments and service level agreements
  • Assist in performing cost-benefit analyses for IT investments
  • Develop and implement information security policies and procedures
  • Create strategies to defend networks and sensitive data against security threats and breaches
  • Collaborate with IT management on global strategy and security-related priorities
