Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the GIT‑CS Security Monitoring team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as an IT Security Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of incidents such as potential cyberattacks as well as spam and phishing attacks for early detection and containment of threats.
- Research and classification of threats as well as identification and closure of vulnerabilities in the areas of network, storage, cloud and email.
- Determination of the causes of attacks, support in the restoration of affected services, and continuous monitoring of IT systems for suspicious activities.
- Planning and implementation of measures to comply with regulatory and legal IT security requirements.
- Conception and execution of workshops and presentations to promote security awareness, as well as development of threat models for internal training.
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in IT security in an international environment, particularly in the development of IT security architectures.
- Experience with enterprise networks and cloud environments, as well as in the implementation and operation of complex network and security solutions.
- In‑depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including network protocols, scripting, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and Windows, Linux, and cloud‑based workplace systems and servers.
- Business‑fluent proficiency in both German and English.
- Strong ability to maintain an overview in complex situations, combined with a sense of responsibility and an eye for innovation.
