Role

We are looking for an IT Security Engineer (m/f/d) for the IT GRC (Governance / Risk / Compliance) department at our Halle (Westf.) location, on a permanent basis, who is convincing both professionally and personally.

Responsibilities

• You will monitor and analyze security events and alarms from various sources to detect potential threats early on.
• You will identify, investigate, and handle security incidents, conduct thorough root cause analyses, and derive effective countermeasures.
• You will actively shape the further development of our IT security infrastructure by introducing new technologies and processes and making our systems (on-premises / cloud) future-proof.
• You will conduct continuous vulnerability management, identify and assess security gaps in our IT landscape, and develop suitable measures to strengthen IT security.
• You will work closely with internal teams and external partners, supporting IT security analyses, audits, and penetration tests.
• You will contribute your knowledge to the further development of the team and actively drive the establishment of a modern, future-oriented security culture.

Requirements

• You have a completed degree in IT or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
• You have sound experience in Security Operations, particularly in dealing with SIEM, NBA, and EDR technologies.
• You have knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and the most important Microsoft Cloud Security solutions.
• You think analytically and structurally, want to understand complex technical issues and develop solutions - attention to detail is a matter of course for you.
• You enjoy working in a team, take responsibility, and actively share your knowledge to jointly develop security processes.
• You communicate clearly and purposefully and have good German and English language skills.
