IT-Security Engineer m/w/d

Your new challenge

• You plan, implement, and operate our IT security infrastructure and continuously develop it – with a special focus on firewall, proxy, VPN, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• You ensure the hardening and optimization of systems, servers, and network components in accordance with our company and security guidelines.
• You configure, administer, and monitor our firewall and network security solutions.
• You analyze security alerts, systematically follow up on them, and process incidents from SIEM and other detection systems.
• You further develop our existing SIEM environment – for example, by setting up new use cases, integrating additional data sources, and specifically tuning alarm quality.
• You organize, accompany, and evaluate penetration tests and vulnerability scans and derive suitable security measures from them.
• You actively participate in the incident response process and support risk analyses, security monitoring, emergency tests, and audits.
• You support the further development and maintenance of our Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001 and NIS2 requirements.
• You advise and support IT and our business units on security-related issues.
• You carefully and comprehensibly document security policies, system configurations, and operating processes.
• You are prepared to participate in IT on-call duty.

Your talents and skills

• You have a completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional experience in the administration and operation of security infrastructures – especially in the environment of firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and SIEM are an advantage for you.
• You have well-founded knowledge of network technologies such as routing, switching, VLAN, and TCP/IP and are very familiar with security architectures and the hardening of Windows and Linux servers.
• You have experience in the operation and further development of SIEM systems, in security monitoring, and in incident response processes.
• You are familiar with vulnerability management and penetration tests and can competently evaluate findings and derive suitable technical countermeasures.
• You have a good understanding of ISMS processes and relevant norms and standards such as ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, or NIS2.
• You are experienced in documenting security-relevant processes and in handling audits and compliance checks.
• You think analytically, act responsibly and solution-oriented, and convince with a high degree of service orientation and clear communication.
• You have good knowledge of MS Office applications and work independently and in a structured manner.
• With your communication skills and your objective and friendly demeanor, you are a true team player.
• You also possess a driver's license class B.
