Your Responsibilities
As an IT Software Architect (w/m/d) in Berlin...
- Develop and own the technical vision and architecture strategy for one or more products in a scaled environment, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand the technical background of your systems in detail and work closely with developers, architects, and product owners.
- Actively contribute technical and architectural aspects to product conception and the development process.
- Ensure that technical decisions align with overarching architectural principles, security, and quality standards.
- Support your team in creating and prioritizing backlogs and evaluate technical requirements, risks, and dependencies.
- Monitor the technical progress of product development, ensure adherence to schedules, and ensure sustainable, scalable solutions.
- Initiate technical improvements, conduct proof-of-concepts, and accompany refactorings or migrations with a view to performance, stability, and operation.
- Communicate complex technical contexts clearly and convincingly to stakeholders from development, product management, and operations.
- Organize and moderate technical workshops and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design holistic solutions.
What you bring...
- Several years of professional experience as a software architect, technical product owner, or in a comparable technical role.
- Sound technical understanding of modern software architectures (e.g., microservices, cloud and edge systems, container technologies) and experience collaborating with development teams.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes, configuration management, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and security.
- Experience with IAM systems, observability architectures, and automated deployments.
- Basic understanding of technical quality assurance and experience with common tools and methods for product development (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Git, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Experience with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and enjoyment of working in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
- Strong communication and moderation skills to explain complex technical topics understandably and make sound decisions.
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
