IT Solution Architect-L2

General Description

The IT Solution Architect (Level 2) is responsible for developing solution architectures and high-level designs for multiple, high-risk, medium to large-scale technology initiatives. This role supports business operations by delivering scalable, secure, and sustainable data and analytics solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

The SAP DataSphere / Business Data Cloud Architect leads the architecture, integration, design, and implementation of enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions using SAP technologies. Acting as a senior technical consultant, this role provides strategic direction and thought leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making and effective enterprise reporting capabilities.

Experience And Role Accountabilities

• Minimum of 9 years of experience in data, analytics, reporting, or data platform consulting, including enterprise-scale implementations
• Lead the design, integration, and implementation of analytics and data architecture solutions using:
  • SAP DataSphere
  • SAP Business Data Cloud
  • SAP BW Bridge, SAP HANA, and cloud-based data sources
• Translate business and information requirements into end-to-end data architecture designs, including:
  • Conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Semantic layers
  • Data flows, replication, and virtualization strategies
• Review functional and business requirements and develop technical architecture and solution designs, presenting recommendations to stakeholders
• Design and implement high-performing data models and analytical views to support dashboards, reporting, and analytics platforms
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, cloud governance policies, and SAP best practices
• Optimize performance of data models, queries, and reporting workloads
• Oversee development activities by reviewing deliverables, providing technical guidance, and ensuring quality, security, and timely delivery
• Collaborate with business, functional, and technical teams to:
  • Validate requirements
  • Resolve data integration and modeling issues
  • Deliver reliable and reusable analytics solutions
• Document solution architectures and processes, including:
  • Architecture diagrams
  • Technical design documents
  • Process flows and standard operating procedures
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members to build organizational capability in SAP analytics and cloud data architecture

Education And Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Master’s degree is considered an asset
• Certifications in Technical/Solution Architecture, SysOps, or Development (Associate or Professional level preferred) are assets
• Advanced expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale technology solutions
• Strong knowledge of architecture and service delivery frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Must-Have Requirements

• Proven experience designing and architecting enterprise-scale reporting and analytics solutions using SAP DataSphere or SAP Business Data Cloud
• Deep expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) for analytics and reporting solutions
• Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, standards-aligned data architectures
• Hands-on experience working with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions
• Strong client-facing consulting skills, including facilitating workshops and presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Minimum 9 years of experience delivering reporting, analytics, or business intelligence solutions in large, complex enterprise environments
