Key Responsibilities

• Translate operational business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions
• Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for IT projects in alignment with corporate goals
• Conduct change impact assessments and prioritize IT demands based on ROI and strategic value
• Lead solution design, assign development resources, and manage vendor coordination
• Oversee the full project lifecycle: requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and reporting
• Prepare CAPEX proposals and conduct ROI/payback analysis to support IT investments
• Integrate IT systems with external stakeholders such as customs and security authorities
• Ensure compliance with data governance, cybersecurity, and ISR standards
• Mentor junior staff and foster domain expertise and delivery capability within the team
• Monitor project milestones and provide regular updates to senior leadership
• Support annual IT budget planning and long-term digital transformation initiatives

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Java, Oracle PL/SQL, Python, RESTful APIs, and object-oriented design
• Deep understanding of database modeling, performance tuning, and data integrity
• Experience with messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Oracle AQ)
• Familiarity with API orchestration, JSON/XML/EDI data formats, and integration protocols
• Exposure to AI/ML and computer vision applications in terminal operations (e.g., OCR, surveillance)
• IoT integration experience with port equipment (e.g., quay cranes, VMTs, gate OCR)
• Strong architectural knowledge of ERP, TOS, automation systems, and secure IT frameworks
• Competence in building centralized BI dashboards using tools like Power BI or Oracle BI
• Proven ability to collaborate with government bodies and manage multi‑stakeholder environments
• Track record of leading cross‑functional projects from design to go‑live
