The Challenge

• Administration and optimization of the virtualization environment based on Proxmox and management of virtual machines and the container infrastructure
• Conception, setup, and maintenance of complex networks using OPNsense (firewall, routing, VPN)
• Design, implementation, and support of CI/CD pipelines for automating deployment processes
• Hardware-related system administration, including selection, configuration, and physical installation of server components and network hardware
• Provision and management of decentralized and centrally hosted server systems, as well as ensuring high availability
• Troubleshooting and monitoring of the IT infrastructure, as well as integration of new technical requirements based on user stories/features/bugs
• Support in software development as well as integration of interfaces and automated tests
• Documentation of the infrastructure architecture and development results
• Ensuring operation through hybrid collaboration

Your Skills

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT specialist for system integration with relevant experience)
• Extensive knowledge in virtualization with Proxmox and in network security/routing with OPNsense
• Sound experience in designing and building automation pipelines (CI/CD)
• Confident handling of hardware configurations and physical network infrastructure
• Knowledge in software development (e.g., Node.js, Python, or PHP) is expressly desired to promote the integration of Dev and Ops
• At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable hybrid role
• High willingness to be present on-site (standard 2 days/week plus additional assignments as needed for hardware topics)
• Good knowledge of agile working methods according to Scrum and consistent work according to user stories
• Good discussion culture, willingness to actively contribute ideas, and high problem-solving competence
• Experience with DevOps platforms and toolchains (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab) as well as MS Office
• Very good knowledge of German and English
