About
Fine Gael is seeking an IT & Systems Administrator to manage and support the organisation’s IT systems and digital infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of IT services, supporting staff, and maintaining secure and efficient systems. The role is based in Dublin 2 and has a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and cloud-based tools. There is also an opportunity to support improvements in how data is structured and used across systems, including dashboard and reporting work where appropriate. It is a role that will be of particular interest to individuals who are interested in and curious about how technology can be used to support political activity.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
IT Systems & Support
- Manage and administer Microsoft 365 (users, licenses, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange).
- Provide day-to-day IT support to staff (hardware, software and access issues).
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of users (accounts, permissions and devices).
- Maintain and support laptops, printers and other equipment.
- Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with external IT providers were required
- Support the management and maintenance of the Fine Gael website.
- Provide IT support for Party events, including Ard Fheis, conferences and online meetings, ensuring systems and technology run smoothly.
Security & Compliance
- Maintain IT security including user access controls, MFA and device security.
- Support compliance with GDPR and internal data protection policies.
- Maintain backups and support disaster recovery processes.
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place for handling sensitive data.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Support the development and improvement of internal systems and workflows.
- Assist in automating processes where possible.
- Work with teams to ensure systems are used effectively.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiency and user experience across the organisation.
Data & Reporting Support
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards (e.g. Power BI).
- Assist in structuring data across systems to enable reporting.
- Work with teams to improve data quality and consistency.
- Provide basic reporting support where required.
Skills
- Strong experience administering Microsoft 365.
- Experience providing end-user IT support.
- Good understanding of IT security and data protection.
- Experience working with cloud-based systems.
- Ability to manage external vendors and service providers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience with Power BI and Power Automate (or similar tools), along with an understanding of data structures and reporting.
